A self-taught poet, Jose holds degrees in poetry and commercial photography from New York University and a Master's in Corporate Communication from Baruch College. His proficiency extends beyond still photography, as he is also a skilled digital video editor with experience in both linear and nonlinear workflows.

Jose's current project is a heartfelt tribute to first responders, highlighting their artistic talents. Through a unique process involving gelatin, liquid emulsion, and polyurethane, he creates stunning analog prints on mirrored glass. This innovative approach aims to showcase the personal side of these public servants, allowing them to express themselves creatively and be their true selves in front of the camera. The project serves as a powerful reminder of the artistry and dedication that often lies beneath the uniform.
